5. Intellectual Property

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without our prior written consent. You may share links to our public content and reference our platform for legitimate educational or business purposes, provided you attribute the source.

6. Professional Services Engagements

Paid professional services — including vCISO retainers, compliance programs, and security assessments — are governed by separate engagement letters or service agreements entered into between CISOSAFE and the client organization. Those agreements take precedence over these general Terms of Service with respect to the specific services described therein. These Terms of Service continue to govern your use of the CISOSAFE platform and website in all cases.

7. Confidentiality

Any information you share with CISOSAFE through inquiry forms, assessments, consultations, or direct communications will be treated with strict confidentiality and used only to support the delivery of our services. We do not disclose client information to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law. For professional service engagements, a mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is standard practice and available upon request prior to any detailed discussions.

THE THREAT INTELLIGENCE, NEWS AGGREGATION, AND ASSESSMENT TOOLS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES AND DO NOT CONSTITUTE GUARANTEES OF SECURITY OUTCOMES. YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CISOSAFE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM OR SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO CISOSAFE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
